Franklin School Rating Results Released!

How a School ranks in performance and reputation impacts everyone….not just families with school age children… as property values are often tied to the desirability of the surrounding School District.

The State of Tennessee has just released it’s 2010 “School Report Card” which evaluates and compares all of the public schools in the State.  To learn more about the “Report Card” or to view the specifics on our local schools, please visit www.tn.gov/education/reportcard/

As school begins again in January, more and more questions will be asked about the new Williamson County School Re-zoning map.  The new zones affect everyone, whether we have school age children or not…… as much of our home’s property value is tied to the school district.

For the past several years, the Cool Springs corridor (including Ashton Park) has enjoyed the prestige of being located in the Ravenswood High School zone….and as a result our Community has been a desirable choice for families with students.  It remains to be seen how the new changes will affect us…. but it is certainly something to consider.

For more details on the new zoning maps for 2011 and 2012 log on to http://wcs.edu/zone_query.htm
