I hope all is well…and that everyone stayed dry yesterday!!!!!
Well it is official! After much dialogue and debate, we finally have an approved and sanctioned date for our 1st annual ASHTON PARK NEIGHBORHOOD GARAGE SALE!!!! YEA!
More information will go out to the community via email, but here’s the scoop:

8:00 – 1:00
We will make arrangements for permits and will have barricades and cones to help with parking. We are also looking into local police support to help with traffic if necessary…. again the details are to follow!!!!
ALSO that same afternoon/evening, my husband Steve and I would like to invite the whole neighborhood to drop by our home for a Ashton Park “get together”. I am still “rolling it around” in my mind…. so haven’t decided on details. But again more to follow!!!

McEwen Drive Widening project
As many of you already know, the McEwen Drive widening project will begin tomorrow. As part of the project, McEwen Drive between Carother’s Parkway and Turning Wheel Lane will be closed to through traffic for up to a year. This phase of the improvement is to have a posted speed limit of 35-40 mph; four, 12 foot lanes with median; 5-foot bicycle lanes in each direction; sidewalks; and other appurtenances as required.
As of now Ashton Park residents will be able to continue to have access to the rear entrance gates out to Liberty Road!

Welcome Home Tee Daniel! A message from Becky Gatten…
Dear Friends,
As some of you know, our neighbor Tee Daniel has had major surgery recently. I was finally able to visit her yesterday and the good news is that she is scheduled to be discharged today probably late afternoon. She will need a lot of care once she is home, a visiting nurse is being set up. I will be spending as much time as possible with her and I have a couple of friends that have already offered to cook for her, including a restaurant owner. Some of you may want to help with meals as well, so just contact me for her diet restrictions if you would like to reach out to a neighbor in need. I can be reached at 435-8833 or on my cell at 415-7738. I would prefer that you call my cell so that I don’t miss your call. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

WOW!!! I can’t THANK everyone enough for the phenomenal responses and suggestions that I have gotten for the Newsletter!!
The more I get to “meet” people via email…. the more energized I am by how many amazing and truly interesting neighbors, our Ashton Park Community has!
We’ve had suggestions for everything from lining dancing at “Losers” to walking clubs….to a neighborhood beautification project (LOVE the idea!). You name it and one of our residents has suggested it!!!
Please keep the thoughts and ideas coming….. and I’ll keep you posted on “What’s happening” in Ashton Park!

Ashton Park Newsletter ideas!
Happy Thursday Ashton Park!
I sent an email out to the neighborhood today asking for input and ideas on a neighborhood newsletter. Just interested in “if” the residents want one and if they do, how often would they like to see it?
I also asked for any suggestions of things our neighbors wold like to see in newsletter…etc…etc….
If you get a second, please check your email and give it some thought! You can also send me your ideas by clicking “Leave a Comment” below. I’d love to be able to take the responses to the next HOA Board meeting!

COYOTE SIGHTING ON ALLENHURST!!!!
Good morning everyone!!!!!
Just to send out an alert that we have seen 2 coyotes roaming the common area behind our home on Allenhurst. The coyotes do not seem to be afraid, as they were literally standing next to our back gate.
Please keep in mind that coyotes normally will not approach people however will attack small domestic animals (dogs and cats).
If anyone has a sighting, please let me know!

When my husband Steve and I first visited Franklin, we were instantly struck by the beautiful neighborhoods…. and the amazing people! After just one day in this charming town, we knew that Franklin was where we wanted to be. Once we found Ashton Park, we knew we had found our home….
While we have been lucky enough to meet some of our neighbors…. we surely don’t know everyone. Meeting folks in a large neighborhood can be a little daunting and it isn’t always easy… So I decided to start this site in hopes that it would help me accomplish my New Years resolution of getting to know my neighbors in Ashton Park!
My hope for this blog is that it will be a great resource for all of us to use to help to get to know each other, connect with each other, share information and most importantly ….. to be great neighbors!
